Dear Jim,

I have had a chance to examine your website in some detail, and figures I have seen on it bring to mind a question Mike Ross raised when we were distributing those leaflets on cars in Phoenix. One side of the card said that US aid to Israel amounted to $11,000 per person per year. On the other hand statistics quoted for 1997 from one of the submissions on your site indicated that US aid to Israel was $5.5 billion per year and that Israel had 5.8 million people. When I do the math this comes to not quite $950 per person per year, an order of magnitude lower than the figure quoted on your card.

I would like to know how you arrived at the $11,000 figure or from what source you obtained it. No one hates Israel and the Jews more than I do, and I regard any amount of US aid as obscene, but it can only harm our credibility to spread such inaccurate or inconsistent figures, particularly if it makes us appear ignorant of basic arithmetic.

Comradely,

Kevin
