Dear Shannon,

I hear your plea for funds, and by all rights, we should step up to the
plate and help.  BUT, this is what steps you should take in order to help
secure our help in this matter:

1.  Open up an account specifically for "Shannon's legal defense fund" or
"Battle against tyrants fund" or something along those lines.  By doing so,
this will allow people to feel more comfortable about giving their
hard-earned dollars for the cause.  We all just work too damn hard for the
pittance left over after our payment to the King.

2.  In light of the controversy of a couple of months ago (pamphleteering
disagreements) and the distancing of yourself from most of us who would be
the contributors to this fund, a public statement on azrkba (a contract so
to speak) should be made stating what can and cannot be done on your behalf
and that you will stay on the path in this battle.  I'm here to tell you it
can be a long one.

My battle with the City of Tucson took several years and it took a huge toll
on my family.  I also lost "friends" over the issue as I'm sure has happened
to you already.  But then they really weren't your friends now were they.
It is better they are out of your life.

I think you know what you are getting into, but if not, you need to sit down
and REALLY think it over (if you haven't already) and talk it over with
family and friends.  Get all the input you can, then YOU make the final
decision.  Let emotions play a role in your decision, but don't let the
emotions rule.

I've taken many a steps because of and emotion only to find out latter that
I wish I hadn't.
