Don't file a suit, but file a complaint with the IRS itself. It doesn't matter whether the IRS does an investigation, it is just necessary that the League understand that this type of complaint is going to occur when they violate their 501(c)(3) status. It will eventually become a problem if a few complaints hit the IRS.

I am only suggesting that Gary, Barry and Peter file the complaints first, since it was their campaigns that have been adversely affected and Peter has a responsibility to the party to protect all of the candidates. Hell all three should complain and do it separately. The way this type of thing works, each one will be counted as three separate complaints. If they do it jointly it will only be counted as one.

My recollection is there are some regulations and forms for making such a complaint to the IRS on a 501(c)(3) violation.
